Start of Late Summer Series 8th August
It was a welcome change to be racing in stronger winds at the start of the Late Summer Series. Competing in the Mid Summer Series through July had been quite frustrating at times.

RYA Adult Level 2 - Basic Skills. 7th & 8th August
Frequent heavy showers and feisty, gusty southerly winds over the weekend did nothing to dent the enthusiasm of those undertaking their RYA Adult Level 2 dinghy sailing course with us. Over the two days everyone made great progress and enjoyed themselves in the club's new Laser Bahias. Thanks also to their instructors Colin, Louise, Stephen and Josh.

RYA Sailing Course Successes - 11th July 2021
Well done to everyone who completed this weekend's RYA Course. 8 Adults completed their Level 1 (1st adult course in over 12 months) and 12 juniors completed their Stage 2. After a gentle start everyone enjoyed a great breeze after lunch to show off their newly learnt skills, a brilliant course. A huge thanks to all the instructors and safety crews for their hard work.

Excellent racing over four races throughout the day. Three starts: Flying Fifteens, Lasers and 'The Fleet' Congratulations to Tim and Karen, Brian, Lee and Anna and Ben who won their respective groups.

Commodore's Summer Regatta 27th June 2021
Book a slot now and compete against your fleet! The Summer Regatta (Formally the flying fifteen day) is a day series for you to race against your own dinghy class. All you require is at least three of the same dinghy. If you can't muster three of the same class, worry not, you will be placed in a menagerie fleet. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each dinghy

Laser Bahias Delivered - 1st May
Great excitement at the club today when LaserPerformance delivered our two new Laser Bahias! Chris, Simon and Oscar helped by others spent most of the day checking them and rigging them. More photos can be seen on our Social Media sites.

70 years of Dinghy Racing - 25th April
We celebrated 70 years (1951 - 2021) of dinghy racing on Whitemere today. Brilliant sailing conditions for eighteen boats led to some really close quarter competition. Congratulations to Stuart who won the day and Ben for the Junior section.
