RYA Start Racing. Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August 2026
All the skills required to start club racing, including basic start sequences and timing; improved tacking and gybing, using the 5 essentials to best effect and having a basic understanding of the racing rules. Evening Sail & BBQ. Friday 17th July 2026
On Friday 17th July we are holding an evening sail and BBQ event. On the water from 5:30pm, followed by a BBQ. Please bring your own food to cook on the BBQ. Everyone is welcome and there will be the opportunity to buddy with other sailors.

Whitemere Splash Fun Day. Saturday 4th July 2026
Our members annual camp-over and family fun day is a highlight of the summer social calendar at Shropshire Sailing Club. The day begins with an informal members family race followed by a communal 'bring and share' lunch for everyone to enjoy. During the afternoon we run an assortment of games both onshore and on the water, or you can just relax and watch the fun. The evening ends with 'Bring Your Own' food cooked on the

Border Counties Midweek Series: Tuesday 16th June 2026
The Border Counties Midweek Travellers series is hosted by various clubs throughout North Wales and the Border Counties. Each of the seven sailing clubs hosts an event on a Tuesday in each month, May through to October. There are three races per day with two to count. A briefing is held at 10.30 with an 11.00am start. To be eligible for the series, 12 races would need to be sailed.
