RYA Level 3 - Better Sailing

The RYA Level 3: Better Sailing course is designed to enhance sailing skills and act as a transition bridge for sailors to the advanced modules of the RYA Sailing Scheme. It assumes that the student has previously achieved the RYA Level 2: Basic Skills certificate and are looking to consolidate their skills.

Participants must be water-confident and medically fit to take part.

It is a double-handed course, emphasizing shared responsibility and communication among crew members. By the end of this course, you will be safety conscious and capable of sailing in moderate conditions. Successful completion of this course is the ideal preparation for starting the RYA Advanced Modules. The course is completed in crewed dinghies and follows the RYA Level 3 syllabus of the National Sailing Scheme.
