Today would have been our annual open day to officially open our new clubhouse and entertain visitors to our sailing club. Sadly, it is not to be. To remind us all, here is a photo of our old clubhouse dressed in all her finery before the start of a busy day. Can't wait to see our new clubhouse in all her regalia when she has her official opening later in the year.

WE ARE NEARLY THERE Electricians, plumbers and joiners working away on the final jobs. The site security fencing has come down and for the first time you can see the building as it was intended to look. After hand-over, we will be then be busy fitting the kitchen and decoration, together with the external works. We will be holding a number of working parties to achieve this and I'll be letting members know the dates

Amazing progress. The cladding will be finished this week. Internal plaster boarding being fitted. Electrical, and plumbing activities also progressing.

Everything moving really fast now. We have seen excellent progress this last week. The contractor has completed the roof and the scaffolding has been removed. Monday saw a start on the outside cladding and the internal fit-out. The windows are being fitted today (Tuesday) with the electricians due on site tomorrow.

The build of our new club house is going well. We are nearly at the half way point of our fund raising. BUT we need a little more to complete the project. Under clear blue skies and sunshine this weekend a lovely group of people visited Shropshire SC and gained their RYA Powerboat Level 2 awards. Congratulations to Molly and Josh from the club, Daniel from Ellesmere College and Chantalle and Louise from the Ironbridge Rowing Club. Sincere thanks to Mike, Brian and John for instructing.
